Our Class Tunnel

We have created a tunnel in our classroom based on Kelly Tarlton's aquarium. We are slowly adding our work to it - photo's of the camp, Camp T Shirts and art. The children love it.

Kelly Tarlton's Art

We made some art based on our visit to Kelly Tarlton's. It involved drawing perspective.

Awesome Attitude

Sam had an awesome attitude all day - settling to tasks straight away with a desire to do his best.
well done Sam.

Congratulations Boys

We have some new wristbands that the children can wear for the day.
Oliver is wearing the 'Great Role Model' band today as he is an awesome PE Shed monitor - always on time and dedicated to the job.
Jack is wearing the 'Awesome Attitude' band as he worked solidly on his research project yesterday - very independent with great time management.
Well Done boys

Geometry

Today we made 3D shapes using toothpicks and blutack - investigating faces, corners and edges.

Paper Mache animals

We are in the process of making paper mache animals based on animals we saw at the zoo and at Kelly Tarltons.
Each animal needs to have something added to the balloon base - e.g a wing, legs, beak, fin etc. It has been a learning curve to create the correct shape and then attach it correctly to the balloon.
We will update the page as the animals take shape.
I am very impressed with the children's ability to clean up so quickly after our art sessions - it can be a very messy task!!!

Every week we have instructors come to teach us techniques on how to pass a ball for different sporting codes. We have had netball and rugby league so far this term.

Science Treasure Hunt

Today we did a Science Treasure Hunt. The teacher hid Science questions about seed dispersal, parts of a flower and pollination around the room. When we found the questions we had to record the answers on an answer sheet. The tricky thing was not to make it obvious where the questions were hidden because we didn't want the other groups to beat us. We tried to look very casual when we found them. Some of them were hidden under tables, chairs, behind the heaters, between posters hanging up in the room, on plant pots - everywhere.

Camp Wordle

We listed 5 words each about camp and these were our most popular thoughts. The largest words were the most common words in our class.
