To complement our theme of Te Moana we brightened up our classroom with some moveable fish in our first week. Let's hope they don't set off the alarms!!!

Will Our Boats Float?

As we are studying Te Moana - The Sea, I thought it would be a good idea to investigate Floating and Sinking. We came up with a whole variety of ideas about why things float and sink. we will be testing our boats in the pool during swimming time next week.

Dive Zone

What great fun we had learning about how to survive in the water. We tipped off boats, went into the air pocket under an overturned boat, learnt to huddle and tread water in the deepest pool some of the children have ever been into.
