Maths scavenger hunt!
Today Miss Chambers decided to do something fun for maths because it is the end of term. It was fun but also challenging. We had clues placed all around the classroom and when we solved each of the difficult maths problem on each clue we got a letter. Once we had all six letters right we were given a riddle to solve. Do you think you can solve out the riddle below?
What has four fingers and a thumb but is not alive?
Letters: L,O,G,V,E and A
If you have figured it out please put the answer in the comments.

Peer Teaching in Maths
We have been peer teaching in maths. This is a great way for those who need to learn a new strategy to do so one on one. Plus it means the children teaching the strategy have to fully understand it to teach others - so it reinforces their own skills. I love the way the children used mini white boards and equipment to help teach renaming in subtraction.
